The history of Temption

Temption takes its name from the Latin words "tempus et functiones, pulchritudo in claritate" which translates into time and function, beauty and simplicity.

Those words ring true in describing German designer Klaus Ulbrich's inventive watch concept.

Ulbrich's objective was to create unique timepieces that will stand the test of time in design, components and craftsmanship. Temption's watches do not take inspiration from the past but instead they pioneer the future of watch design. The sleek timepieces combine the latest technological advancements in watch making with ergonomically correct designs and a minimalist, modern spirit.

Ulbrich strongly believes that less is more when it comes to design, which is reflected in his subtle yet strong timepieces. In fact, the Temption watches portray the spiritual clarity of the international design schools of "Wabi-Sabi" and "The Moderns" philosophies. Utilizing the principle that there are universal laws to design that transcend time these watches are designed for generations to come.

Temption timepieces are made of a satinized stainless steel alloy that is anti allergic and exceptionally durable. Among its distinctive characteristics are a matte black face and a sapphire glass top that has an anti glare coating on the inside. Each individual watch is tested for its water resistance before shipping and is adjusted in five positions. Even the durable watch bracelets are integrated into the seamless design of the timepiece. The collection presents a range of modern elegant styles from simple automatic models to complicated automatic chronographs.

"This is a collection of precious timepieces which do not imitate the past but take the best of the present to meet the future and are not affected by time," says Ulbrich.
